Frequently asked

Still stuck? Contact support.

Is Hold the Sky: Peregrine free?

Yes. It is free to play. The free tier includes ads, and optional premium content is available.

Does 3D mode use my camera?

No. 3D mode plays on a synthetic sky over your real-world map and never needs the camera. AR mode uses the camera on ARCore-supported phones.

Can I play without walking?

Yes. 3D mode lets you fight over your own streets from wherever you are: no walking and no camera needed.

Do I need to go outside?

Only for AR mode, which puts the drones in the real sky above you: play it outdoors with open sky and room to move. 3D mode plays anywhere.

Which phones are supported?

Android phones. AR mode needs an ARCore-supported phone; 3D mode runs on phones without AR support. Final minimum requirements will be on the Google Play listing.

Is it on iPhone?

Not yet. The game is Android first; iPhone comes later.

When can I play?

Pre-registration on Google Play opens soon. Sign up and we will email you when it does.

Does it use my location?

The game uses your location to build missions around where you stand, and weather for the sky overhead. In 3D mode you can choose another place. The privacy policy sets out what is collected and why.

Is it based on a real war?

No. The Empire of Zod is fiction, and no real nation, army or aircraft is the enemy. The idea that ordinary people can fight back is not fiction.

Can I play with friends?

Co-op is in development and comes after launch. The first release is single-player.

Is it safe to play outside?

Play AR mode where it is safe to look up: open ground, away from roads, water and crowds. Stay aware of people and obstacles, never play while driving or crossing a road, and stop whenever the real world needs you.
